Created upon request for U.S. based apparel company Cape Kennedy Clothing, these are illustrations of Nasa’s Mercury-Redstone 2 Misssion part of the U.S. space program’s Project Mercury. In January 31, 1961 a chimpanzee also known as Ham the Chimp and Ham the Astrochimp, flew a suborbital flight and became the first great ape launched into space.
These are promo illustrations for the company’s Project Mercury Collection.
